Mossie "reloaded"

Postby Falcon500 » Fri Nov 11, 2005 9:23 pm

Well, I'm not sure if this is an improvement or not... I went back over all of the aircraft making the paint all one color since CFS2 does a pretty good job with the shadows and the .MDL has enough shine... You will also have to remember that my work surface is very limited the files were saved REAL! small so those exhuast pipes are acually about seven pixels wide :o  Image

I think that the darker colors blend in a bit better, but it has a lot of contrast in pure daylight, its not that bad when cloudy though ;)
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

Your shots don't show up too well for me so I can't really comment on the repaint.

Not sure what you mean by 'work surface' or what size the original textures are. Providing you keep to the same proportions you can increase the size of the textures. For example: A 256 x 256 texture will still display if you resize it to 512 x 512 or even 1024 x 1024. You would obviously lose definition by increasing it & this could involve redoing the complete texture.

Well, the texure are saved in 256 format and they (the Aircraft is chopped up into four or five pieces) are 256X256 pixels wide and tall... So if i strecthed them to 1024X1024 and save them it should work?

It just occurred to me that it might be an early AF99 model with .xaf textures. This is not a problem but might involve just a little more work. If you tell me the page this Mossie is posted on I'll check it out for you.
