Close encounter of the third kind?

Yesterday I was flying some cargo runs in Peru. Just minding my own business.



When suddenly something strange appeared on our 6.



It was some kind of fireball.



Worst of all, it seemed to be following me.



No mather what I tried, it just kept following. What is that thing?



Then, all of a sudden it was gone. Just vanished into thin air.
But it scared the living daylights out of my co-pilot. Just look at his face.



Maybe it was some top secret new weapon, or even a visitor from outer space, I really don't know.

How did you get this? Did you damage the plane, causing the smoke? I know some effects like to stay at a certain altitude. If you go under it, the effect follows your plane, but separated from it...

You could also get this effect by modifying the X,Y,Z parameters in the [smokesystem] section of the aircraft.cfg file.

same thing happens with the F14 Tomcat. For users of Flight Deck 3. You would notice as you make your final on the carrier deck. The smoke effect from your engines seperates from your aircraft as you descend and make your landing!
