(not) losing Nemo in Stearmen/Stearmans

Postby krigl » Tue Nov 08, 2005 6:01 pm

More pics from flying with Nemo on Monday night... we started off in nice, colourful, slow Stearmen.

Image

Hands up who can answer Nemo's question....

Image

The Stearman - small and perfectly formed.

Image

Caution: Self deprecation...
Nemo cracked me up by telling me how good I was at flying formation when all I did was fly for ages in a straight line while he formed on me in various positions and styles....

Image

I'm not sure if he was taking the p**s or taking pity but it was absolutely hilarious. It was a lot of fun, thanks Nemo!!! He flew brilliantly by the way! :)

Image

Nemo and I chasing the birds... from the trees.

Image

Joyous confusion, oh yeah!

Heading in for final (cropping experiment)

Fun, fun, fun.... thanks for looking :)

Crop as much as you can. It really makes some shots better. ;)

Thanks a lot guys! I enjoy these MP session so much!

I like to crop sometimes to "photo format" 10 x 15, other times shots look better whole. I think cropping is a good idea, it often improves the shot no end and it is basically what photographers do with their work, and painters too in fact - by choosing the size and shape of their canvas before beginning to paint. We have no choice about the shape of our screens so this has to be done after the shooting. For me what is important is making the picture look the best it can without editing... because I like nice pictures of planes ;D

I mentioned the "cropping experiment" in case anyone wanted to inform me the whole thread should be in payware because I used walk and follow :)

Great Shots there Krigl,

You managed to trim her through the flight though which made for some good chasing at low level  ;D ;D ;D ;D

while he formed on me in various positions and styles....

no comment on that one lol.......  :-X  :-X

In the Second to last pic it looks as though we were going to collide, passed with a few inches to spare  ;D

for some free photorealistic sardinia scenery try this package: ftp://63.217.28.218/1scenery/cagliari_2004.zip
its a good package and doesn't kill framerates

Nemo..........
p.s i do fly cubs, stearmans and stampes everynow and again......
