Foz in the gloom...!

Postby Fozzer » Sun Nov 06, 2005 1:43 pm

Do you know what....?
...after 6 years of flying the Sim I never thought of trying the ever-changing "Real World Weather" download from Jeppesen....!
Recently, having "Anytime" access from my ISP, meaning I can remain connected to the 'Net while flying, I tried it out today...!!!
Wowzers....what an experience, trying to locate your airfield in REAL weather conditions, when visibility is practically zero...!

Here is a shot of my Slingsby just coming out of the gloom to land at my home base Half Moon Bay, (KHAF), with the sea mist rolling off the nearby Pacific Ocean...
An excellent example of "Real Weather" conditions in the San Francisco Bay area most of the time...!!

Image

Cheers all...!

Paul...wiping the mist off the windscreen... 8)...!
LOL...!

Foz your still on 56k?  :( Anytime connects for 2 hours and hangs up......
My Results:

F-15 Eagle

You are an F-15. Your record in combat is spotless; you've never been defeated. You possess good looks, but are not flashy about it. You prefer to let your reputation do the talking

Impressive!  :o
I have been using Real Weather often since the beginning, and it became even worse since I installed FS Skyworld to upgrade the clouds. Now I use this functionnality 100% of the time...excepted when I want to make special screenshots :)

Yeahhhh... the fog. Muaaaa.... zombies reeling drunkenly through the mist to throng the runway, arms reaching out, clutching, waving, only to be torn to pieces as the powerful Slingsby smashes through them, the inimitable Fozzer at the yoke...

Er... back to reality.... very nice atmospheric shot Fozzer, love it!

Doesn't the fog look a little unrealisically yellow?
