Indeed they do. Just been trying to find a different set of clouds, but the ones I've tried need Render to Texture checked. What would be the best cloud set (all clouds, not just cumulous1.bmp) to use, that doesn't require Render to Texture?

HUGE video card isn't going to help us...

it seems like your HUGE video card is missing Anti Aliasing... you might want to increase that.

specs pls =)

The biggest mistake people make is thinking video cards and processors are the main factor in performace. However these are major factors, the most important is how much RAM you have. Try to get at least 768, preferably 1G+.

Hey Tweek, what is Render to Texture?

Tbh, I don't actually know. All I know is it decreases performance, and some replacement clouds need it to be checked (the sim crashes if it isn't). I think cloud textures in DXT3 format need it. Of course, with Render to Texture, it decreases performace, so the point of the reduced file size becomes obsolete.

Not always actually, flying over Maho Beach clouds and rain in real weather don't really bother me at all ;D ;D

Turn anti aliassing on by ehm....
well...

Succes!

whatever pigeon said  ;D

I could answer to you here but it's better that you ask that question int hte flight sim forum (a few forums above this one)

in any case it has to do with your advanced settings of your graphics adapter that you will be able to reach from right clicking on your desktop and selecting properties and then adapter... good luck ;)

Maybe this will help......What I gather is there is no real "easy" fix.
Also try limiting your FPS......Done in the Hardware section.I pulled mine back to around 25-30fps instead of unlimited.
You also get better cloud "Volume".
That helped me with the Flight Enviroment(Payware) stuff....But I still dont' see really fast rates with alot of clouds. And I have an AMD 3200+ with MSI NX6600 with 256mb.
