Crossair Saab 340

Postby Omag 2.0 » Tue Nov 01, 2005 3:48 pm

Now why didn't I find out earlier about this little beauty? An FS2002 model that has been reworked, and I like it. Need to find a decent panel ( stock-king air panel) and no vc, but still...

I took her for a little IFR-spin from Geneva to Frankfurt am Mainz

Waiting for clearance

Image

Swiftly she climbs into the air

Image

Gentle climbrate

Image

Breaking trough the groundhaze... the clouds promise a senic flight!

Image

Cruising at 11.000 feet... a bit bumpy, more turbulence than expected...

Image

The sun sets over the German territory

Image

Frankfurt had got to be one of the bussiest airports around! The sheer number of planes around me was amazing. Combine that with IFR-visual conditions and one engine that runs at full throttle without beeing able to adjust and you get a busy landing! A bit high on approach!

Image

However we managed to land safely and taxi to the gate... annoying on one engine... had to cut the second one...

Image

Amazing flight and I love the model.

FFG model to be found on avsim!

Cheers,

Omag

Could you possibly mail me a bigger version of the second to last shot? It would make one hell of a wallpaper! ;)

I can Ecko, but it's resized from 800x640, so the quality isn't great... sorry!

Too bad.. I keep both the 1280x1024 in BMP, the 1280x1024 in JPG and the 800x640 in JPG.. But I guess that's why I only have 4 Gigs left..  :P

Nice!!! ;D

I imagine that the Saab would handle similar to a Dash 8. Does she fly well?

Cheers ;)
