My first repaint & watching a C-17 TNG

Postby Censport » Fri Oct 28, 2005 12:15 pm

Here's my first-ever repaint attempt, done with MSPaint:

I'm not shy about self-promotion, as you can see. I took the textures from a 3Rivers Tours (Pittsburgh) Hughes and modified them to my taste. The Japanese text under the door is my given name in Katakana, and following the hyphen is the honorific suffix "-kun" in Hiragana.

"Censport" was the name of the racing team I had when I was a pro/semi-pro sportscar racing driver in my 20's. I still own the name, so I get all the mileage out of it that I can. Lord knows I can't afford to race anymore!

While testing my new repaint at Edwards AFB, I noticed that the Project AI C-17 was headed out to the strip. I tuned in to the tower, and learned that it was going out for a closed pattern.

So down by the runway I went, just to watch it TNG a few times.

At one point, I got the bright idea of chasing the C-17 down the runway as it powered up for another take-off. Figured it'd make for a cool screenshot.

Ha! Silly me! Thought a bit much of my chasing skills, didn't I?

Hope y'all enjoy the shots.
