In FlightSim it's just Alavus..

It's 'Alavus Highway Strip' in 'Finland country' in FS9.

Many forced landings on highways here in Australia result in horrific accidents. Nearby to me, an ultralight pilot forced onto a road was run down by a semi-trailer and killed.

I met a guy who was chopped nearly in half by a twin's prop as he was tying down a cover on top of a truck by the roadside. This guy was huge in a tall way, he said he is 3 inches shorter now than he was due to re-construction of his spine and legs.

Our roads make extensive use of "guide posts" which are generally of solid hardwood firmly driven into the ground, they protrude about 3 feet from the ground, making glider landings out of the question on most roads.

Power poles/lines/traffic/guide posts........... a bad mix.
I was taught to aim between trees if possible to take the wings off and survive by spearing through the scrub in an emergency, a dubious plan at best

Look at it this way, it is a quick and cheap way to make your aircraft a clipped-wing ;) ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
