Here's a runway you wouldn't want to be on during rush hour! Can anyone tell me where this airstrip/highway is?

1 out of every 3 miles in a highway system were to be straight according to dwight D. Eisenhower in order to have emergency airstrips in case of wartime emergencies.. :)

First of all, according to the legend, I believe it's one out of every 5 miles

Second, I've heard this is not true

well, when Wiley post and Harold gatty left edmonton, they took off from a road because the airfield was too muddy

O.K. wise guys...for your information this is an actual place in FS9 called the ---------highway strip...and it's not in Canada.......do you see any moose or beer in the picture? So despite your territorial razzing, here's a hint ;)....It's near The Brain.

Im gonna say Finland, I took off from a highway strip somewhere in Finland on my last fighter patrol on the Soviet border.

Stanke Dimitrov Highway Strip ? Google found that one.... ICAO is LB37, the Life of Brian ? LB ? Seems to be in Bulgaria... Oops, I did read Brian not Brain...
