A different way to takeoff....

Postby cspyro21 » Fri Oct 14, 2005 4:43 pm

Today I was pratting around in a Hawker Tempest in and around Iraq (I think that is where this certain one was based), and I found a, uh, 'new' way of takeoff:

Image
Ready for 'takeoff', Sarge!!

Image
Hurtling down the runway, reaching TO speed.....

Image
V1, should I say it in a Tempest (I don't think they had V speeds?)
"Sir, shouldn't you be going the other way?"

Image
Here we go...the start of my TO strategy!!

Image
Nose on/in.....

Image
Tempest gets flung into air.....

Image
Spin her round and fly away.

It sure was fun, only problem is A) it wouldnt happen in reaality and B) the pilot would probably be killed.

Thanks for looking!!  ;D

P.S. Look what happened 5 minutes later!:-

LOL, that's normally the way I land. Great to see somebody can do it on take-off ;D.

Easy Flyer.

Your technique is truly faultless, Spyro! ;D LOL!!!!!!!!!

As for those little problems you mentioned, I'm sure they can be overcome...

Easy Flyer, don't worry, with a little practice you wont be killing all of your passengers in your 737 on landings anymore.

Krigl, thanks! I gotta say, we at cspyro21 Inc. are working hard on a method to make this a reality.

woodlouse, I was thinking the same thing. Looks rather odd!!

Daube and Jordon, thanks for reading!

RD, yes, maybe some more training would be handy...unless I become a stunt pilot.  ;D

Omag Sir, uh....wheres the pump?

Thanks for your comments people, much appreciated!
Cheers  ;)
