Thats a game I really want.  I've always been a big fan of Battlefield 1942.

And great shots too :)

41-4? Pfft. Please.  If I had any idea how to compress images, I'd post the shots I have of me going 74-4, 85-5, 131-3, and my pride and joy, 212-5 (that was a LONG game) in Joint Ops: Typhoon Rising.  ;D (nice score for you too, 41-4 in BF2 isnt easy ;))

I personally can't stand BF2, I never did like emptying 30 rounds into someones chest and them not dieing. ::)  Personally I prefer the teamwork and more accesible vehicles of JO.

BEEF PWNS ALL n00bZ!!?!

Hmm...

...I personally think BF2 has alot more team work than Joint Ops, its acutally got an entire chain of command thing... :o

...and I had better rounds in BF2 too, but thats the biggest gap between my score, and the 2nd place score ::) And BF2 is more of an fast paced, action packed, CQB type game, you rarely engage from more than 100 yards away. Unlike in JO, where I can just find a sweet spot and snipe everyone all day, and don't ever die, and get like eleventy billion kills ;D

BTW...THE L85 KICKS ASS!...Its sleek, its sexy, and it works! ;D

Well, killing a sniper is just like killing anything else.  Supress and flank.  I haven't been killed by the same stationary sniper twice in a loooong time.  If you shoot me, you better move ;)

And believe me, I'd bet you money JO has a lot more CQB than BF.  CQB is my specialty, so I'd know.

What I like the most about DF:BHD and JO:TR tho is the user-created maps.  Some of the coolest, most creative levels I've ever seen were pumped out by this community, levels of massive porportions, floating castles 5,000' in the sky, a giant standing tube tens of thousands of feet high where you fight sniper battles across the walls and drop down, freefall for 15 seconds and land in the water below to knifefight... cool.

I just never really got into battlefield, too arcadey for my tastes.  Not saying it's a bad game tho.. if the damage modeling was better I'd probably play it.

btw JO has a command heirchy too, just like BFs.

Hmmm....

...I stopped playing Joint Ops Thyphoon Rising/Esclations, when Counter Strike: Source came out. I remember a ranking system, but not an actual chain of command...

...in BF2, you can be Commander, Squad Leader, or Squad Member...each with a specific role...

Damage modeling is very realistic in BF2 (except that sniper rifles doesn't have elevation or windage settings), its the physics that need work on (but JO isn't much better on that...)...

...and JO might have some sweet maps, but BF2 supports full out Mods, and few of them are good enough to be stand alone games! :o
