Very nice shots by the way, especially that last one.  :) Ive always found the F-1 to look like a bird, perhaps a falcon. Gracious, then the swept back wing and the tilt due to the high nose gear... hmmm...

This is simply stunning  :o
This plane has always been one of my favorites. The shape of the main gear is probably was makes us think about a bird.

Yeah, as you can see in the third shot, it's the main gear that looks like a birds feet.

Thanks all :) You know, the point about the bird like gear is an interesting one. If you were to think of that last one in that way, then it would almost look as if it was getting ready to grasp something!
