Training for the Maple leaf pt1 The Chippie

Postby Souichiro » Sun Oct 02, 2005 6:25 pm

Yes people that's right! This is part one of a series full of...wel shots ::) ;D Anyway, as a display pilot for the Millenium F/A-18F Super hornet I had to practise some Display routines. The only problem was that the plane wasn't where I was..But that problem was easily fixed! I hitched a ride in this Chippie which had to go my way. This thing is fun!!

It was abeautifull early morning winter. The only thing was that the weather was rather unstable..Well VERY unstable. It was predicted that it would snow and it sure looked like it.

But then..Clear skies!!! Silence before the storm?

Apperantly it was..

Better not get to low I was thinking..

This is certainly different from blasting through a valley at mach 2.....Lovely!

As the day got on I thought this experience was really amazing! I must see if a can get a hand on one of these!

Ah well in for landing

There we go

Had a nice chat with the chap who was flying me there. It seems that he got this one from an airforce surplus store for not tto much. Must check it out. Anyway it was time for me to suit up. And then I thought..Wait a minute the F is a two seater! "Excuse me sir? Sir? wanna ride?" I got approval from the Commander for the dual flight. So there we went!

All that in part 2
