A few shots

Postby Tweek » Sun Sep 25, 2005 8:49 am

I'm constantly tweaking my settings getting the best out my computer (AMD Athlon XP2000+ 1664MHz, 512Mb DDR RAM, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT, XP Pro SP2 etc etc) and I'm coming up with fairly decent results visually and in performance. I can get about 30FPS when looking at the sky, 15-20FPS when looking directly at the ground, or looking around a large unpopulated area, and about 7-10FPS when cramming a lot of info into one area, e.g. a big city. (of course, this can vary depending on what a/c I'm in)

Well judging from this screenshots, I don't think I'm doing all that bad, considering my machine now, is below average.

Should be under 500Kb in total (423 to be exact) unless my computer is lying!

I'll show off and say I get 75FPS when looking around anywhere...35FPS in cities and higher than 120FPS when looking at the sky ;D ;D

Nice shots!!
Cheers,

Ah, but look at your PC specs :D I don't think the human eye can even recognise 75, let alone 120FPS anyway! Grr!

How many RPMs are you harddisk running ashar?

My pc is quite a step above yours, but I don't even get near 75 FPS, with everything maxed out.

Very nice shots by the way, I love the last one! :)

Yes you are ashar! :D

Harddisks run 7200 RPMs, not 7500 RPMs, and yes I know, I'm really f*cking flies today! ;)

Thanks :) And yes, I quite like the first one, hills/mountains always look good as a backdrop.
