Feast your eyes on th

Postby killerbunny » Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:57 pm

My latest download.  And the last 2 days I kept asking myself :"Why have I waited so long before I got this one? ???"  This must be the greatest fighter ever!  Its truly awesome!!!  Fantastic acceleration, very fast, very agile,... and it looks cool too ;).  I thought the MiG 29 Fulcrum was impressive but this plane takes it to a higher level.

Too bad the panel included was a little ...., well, it sucked.  I reworked and replaced some gauges  (still busy with it) and it looks a little better now.  Oh yes, VC is included.  Also, no afterburner-effects were included so I added those (I took those  from the DSB Tornado)

But now I'll let the plane (or the pics) talk for itself.

Here it is : The Dassault Rafale A

Flying this aircraft is just soooooo much fun.   En Francais : C'est un avion vraiment formidable!   Hope you enjoyed watching it :)

I have it too, got it from Mirages4FS.

Nice shots, though it sure looks like some shitty weather in the first two shots. ;)

EDIT:
Okay, apparently you can't write shitty, with an s.. lol ;D

I don't suppose you could put a link in could you?

Also, what do you do to add the effects from the Tornado?

@ ecko : I was wondering what you meant with chitty ;D

@ jordonj : http://www.simviation.com/fs2002military31.htm

for the afterburner :

I added this in the rafales panel.cfg [window00] section : gauge36=DSBXML!DSBTornadoReheat,  1,1

and this in the rafales aircraft.cfg [LIGHTS] section :

light.10=2, -25.996, -1.95, 1.9, fx_dsb_tornado_burner_flame
light.11=2, -25.996, 1.95, 1.9, fx_dsb_tornado_burner_flame
light.12=2, -25.196, -2.20, 5.6, fx_dsb_tornado_burner
light.13=2, -25.196, 2.20, 5.6, fx_dsb_tornado_burner
light.14=2, -25.196, -2.20, 5.6, fx_dsb_tornado_burner
light.15=2, -25.196, 2.20, 5.6, fx_dsb_tornado_burner

This should do the trick :)

(of course you will need the DSB Tornado afterburner effects in your effects-folder)

Thanks also for the burner addition tip, I was wondering how I'd do that....
