From the archives 1:A380

Postby krigl » Mon Sep 12, 2005 5:26 pm

Hi, at the moment I'm overhauling my 'website' and making it leaner and meaner. No, don't get excited, it's really just a gallery of my pics for me, myself and beautiful me, but I might publish it properly on the web when I'm done...

Anyway, I've been reprocessing (sizing/save to web) in photoshop and thought I'd post some old stuff... just to say hi.... :)

These are from FS2002 and were taken at Toulouse-Blagnac the night after the A380 first flew...

Spooling up...

So moving, uplifting...(wipes away tear of fond rememberance)

Hope you like them...  :) They look okay I think for FS8. Will post some more archive pics tomorrow...

Regards

Krigl

very nice. the surface looks a bit fake, it looks like it was painted int Msft paint. but everything else is crisp. good job.

Yeah, I know what you mean, maybe it was. I wanted to fly that paint for the occasion, and it was the best I could find... by Robert Versluys I think... Looking forward to when they start flying for real, will download that Finnair one for the sound and get up there with some nice repaints and real heavy metal... 8)

Hey, you know Rimshot, they might be... I only got FS9 a couple of months ago but time goes so fast...maybe...

Well, whatever, thanks for the comments guys, I will be digging through my An-24 shots tonight, if any are okay after the save to web treatment I'll post them... don't get too excited though, they all look pretty static, taken before seeing the great shots here on this site inspired me to try a bit harder... :)

...yeah, thanks guys, I'm totally addicted now, in a downward spiral from which there seems no escape... :o:'( ;) 8)

Cheers, Krigl

Nice shots, Krigl! What add-on are you using for the taxiway signs and where did you get it?

Thinking.... that was Airport Environment 7 I think ... It's a very nice add-on except for the taxiways which are very tile-y... there's an addon for dark asphalt taxiways as well somewhere, if you're interested I may be able to find it...

Hey K!  :) You know it's always interesting to see older versions of FS. The aircraft quality is very decent for FS2002. Nice to see... ;)
