L29 Bag End - Pardubice CZ

Postby krigl » Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:28 pm

Here are some more coherent (??) pics of a favourite plane of mine, the Aero L-29 Delfin. It regularly appears at air shows in the Czech Republic, though I've never seen the stripey one :'(

Outside Bag End, Zatec CZ.

Image

Taxiing... the road goes ever on and on.

Image

With a heavy heart, Bilbo shouldered his pack and bid farewell to his dear Hobbiton.

Image

Bilbo, having injudiciously inhaled rather too much of his favourite Longbottom Leaf, saw the world with a new perspective.

Image

He flew like a bird borne on silver wings "ai Galadriel ai el alamein!" he exclamed...

Image

"The Eagles, the Eagles!" he cried, losing many of his enamel buttons in the process.

Image

Unfortunately, during his leafy reverie he was enveloped in the icy darkness of a sneaky Nazgul's embrace.

Image

It brushed Sting aside, ignored the garlic he was wearing and dragged him kicking and screaming to the...

Image

...orc fortress of Pardubice, a place of brooding horror. Not a nice place for a hobbit.

Image

Bilbo wished so very much to be back in his tidy litle hobbit hole in Bag End...

Good grief, did I really write that rubbish? It's 2 am and hysteria is setting in. I sincerely apologise....

Plane by Tim "Piglet" Conrad, Zatec airbase by ??, both found on the CZ website FlightSimPeriskop...

Hope you liked the screenies.... :D

LOL, funny story.  LOTR meets Top Gun!

I noticed the buildings in the backgrounds of #2 and #3.  Where can I find/download those?  They look kinda cool.

Nice shots, btw!

A hobbit in a areo Delfin? Now I've seen it all...  ;D  ;D  ;D

I really like those almost Inca-style bunkers in the first shot and the clouds in shot 6 ... man, that's just wow!  ;)

It's just a small Czech military base, local effort, but the bunkers are pretty cool. That Heather Sherman scenery site is Tha Bizness too...

Which file should I DL?  There's quite a few there.
