We need you they said...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Tue Jul 05, 2005 3:09 pm

One late evening I received an email... my usual contact for my freelance pilot-service asked me if I wanted to fly a really good contract... some ... hmmm... creative aspects to it though...

Adventurous as I am... and cause i want to buy me a nice new car... I agreed...

One hour later I met my new employer at Brussels airport... and while having a drink waiting for someone to fetch the tickets to my unknow destination, the employer planted a needle in my arm... in seconds all turned black...

Many hours later I woke up... time to fly mr. was the first I heard...

A long jeepride and lots of coffee later, I arrived somehere at a remote airfield. Here my true passenger awaited me.. he needed to get some sensitive info to a more "civil" place...

In silence we took off... no maps, no flight-plan... I"m all you need, the stranger said...

Image

Keep it low and slow... and adress me as mister D. he continued. Stay away from the radio and "kill" the lights...

This was one weird flight!

Image

Mr. D guided me towards some huge mountains in the distance... follow the landscape as close as you can! he whispered... this guy had some strange ideas about sight-seeing!

Image

Slowly the sun setted over the foreign and unfamiliar terrain... a jungle emerged, going right up to the horizon...

Image

LOWER... keep her closer to the ground... mr. D wasn't kidding no more... he became more and more tense while we approached our still unknown destination...

Image

About 45 minutes later, we reached some city, high up in the mountains... he ordered me a heading and a glideangle! Guess we were to land any minute now... Mr. D could sit still in his seat, his eyes peering at the ground beneath... He hang unto a small briefcase like it meant his life... strange...

Image

No longer after we landed at a dark strip in the town... I'd never have found it without proper maps and nav-adds!

Image

Mr. D seemed to relax... he got out the plane and smiled to me... Thanks! You made my day...

Hey, I responded, where the hell are we and when do I get my money?

Welcome to Medelin Colombia... he responded. The money  is already in your account... Mr. P arranged that... and he slipped me a account-receipt of my bank!

Oh... one more thing, I asked... what's in that briefcase...

Nothing important he smiled... just some contest-result... nowhere safer than in Colombia my friend... and he switched on his laptop for some "important" post on the web...  A blue and white screen appeared, just before another needle plunged into my arm...

Cheers, Omag

Bravo!! That was a lot of fun to read. Nice series of pics too. I would hope you would continue the story, kind of like a weekly series. What's the next destination, are there any sultry ladies in his (your) future. The story lines are infinite. Nice work... :)
