Going Dutch....

Postby Omag 2.0 » Mon Jul 04, 2005 1:39 pm

... On a special invitation by the Dutch Governement, I was flown from Brussels airport to Eindhoven, as part of a better understanding between our two nations ( Belgium and Holland that is)... I still don't know what exactly I am supposed to do, but beeing able to fly the magnificent Fokker F-50 should be a treat... However, the weather wasn't that promissing...

My "ride" awaits me on the cargo-platform of EBBR...

Image

Soon we took off from runway 25 R... passing the brand new terminal...

Image

Luckely the thick grey mess sticked to the ground... on gaining altitude, the blue skies invited us for a relaxed flight...

Image

The Flemish fields slowely turn into Dutch farmland, as we cross the border...

Image

Eindhoven airport... equaly appealing weather awaits us... The Dutch wouldn't wanna make me feel homesick....

Image

And safely down... guess I'll soon find out what to do here...

Dreamwings fokker 50 in Dutch airforce livery... found over at avsim...

Thanks for watching!

That paint is great. I love the sense of speed in the fifth shot. The series is really clean, some good angles. Nice stuff!  ;D

I am sooooo glad you lot seem to like this livery.
It's really cool to see "my" planes being displayed here.
I've been working on them for quite some time. Still not really satisfied as there are some tiny areas that I can not get right. Nobody seems to notice though so maybe I should lighten up a bit.
One thing worried me: the Dreamwings flight-attendent was wearing a nice (but slightly distracting) dress that I felt needed to be redone a bit, in order to meet RNLAF dress code. You will understand she had to take it of for a while. At the same time the pilots had their civil uniforms removed to have them replaced by olive-drab suits. You can imagine what happened during the hours I was working on this  ;).
Glad to see they all are back at their stations doing the things they are supposed to do: flying the aircraft.

Omag, great shots.

Cheers
Arjan

Goed Gedaan/Nice Job Arjan!
