Greek F-16(Block 30) over Constantinople(Istanbul)

Postby Ex-RoNiN » Thu Jun 09, 2005 9:21 pm

After getting the F-16 (my very first freeware aircraft download) I had to take it for a spin, and what better area to test it than Constantinople/Istanbul :P Bet the ATC at Ataturk had multiple heart attacks :P

Here I am, approaching the City from the NW. I am using standard water textures (replaced it since I took the pic) and the excellent Greece Mesh+base terrain, which also updates western Turkey:

I have dropped altitude and am turning South to take a closer look. Oooh look, a bridge! Shame my bombs don't work :P j/k

Now this pic I am particularly proud of. Better water textures and AA enabled would have made this look even more real! Love the detail on the ground textures.

My first photoseries, so if you have any improvement suggestions, please let me hear them :)

Nice first shots ex-Ronin! Play around with the angles and distances to the airplane... in screenshots it's practice practice practice... and watch Lemoncat's threads! They are superb and good learning material!

Cheers,

Only thing I don't like about that one is the Afterburner has to have the lights on to work (Olssen's regular models go on as you firewall the throttle...)

Can you see it on my pics ??? When I took off from Alexandroupolis airport, I did it with afterburners ???

Maybe you're talking about the Block 50 model?
