More challenging enemy... the Japs were far from beaten until the very end


But if the Luftwaffe could get some planes in the air, it wasn't easy for the allied aircraft either. ::)

Undoubtetly the Luftwaffe was GREAT! they were very skilled! Mind you a significant part of the aircrew already had some extent of experience from the spanish civil war. If it were not for mistakes made by Certain Leaders, the outcome might have been very different!

The fokker G-1 And for that matter all planes in the dutch Airforce fought bravely. Also later in the war dutch aircrew were quite succesfully. 320SQ operating Mitchells is one example. But a little known fact is that dutch pilots also operated Hurricanes in the East indies. When there were more planes than british aircrew some Hurri's were handed to dutch pilots. According to reports of the Brits they fought brilliantly.

FYI the p38 is the best twin boomer... ::)


I think you'll find the best twin boomer's the Sea Vixen! ;D


Saab J21 is a pretty nice looking twin boomer too... :)
