Planespotters! "Ten Tall Tails Tales"

Postby Clipper » Fri Jun 03, 2005 2:53 pm

Here is a series of ten tails. Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to identify the aircraft that these tails should be attached to. I've thrown in a couple of nasty hard ones to keep everyone honest. Good luck! ;D

4) DH Comet...correct

Sneaky that one was, but once you realise its dihedral you can see and not sweep angle, and the (very) dark tips, it was a banker...

Can't beat Charlie that easily ;) ;D Beautiful aeroplane!!! ;D

9= Douglas DC10
DC10, DC10? DC freakin 10. oooooooh my friend time to run to your shelter as there is an atomic vat of marmalade heading your way as we speak :-/ ;D
please note my little avatar, that is a dc10 tail photo copywrited to me taken last year at gatwick n224nw for referance sake ::) note the number 2 engine is straight in line with the tail, where as our L1011 tail engine is actually directed to the tip of the tail itself. :)
