Saving PrintScreen

Postby Bubblehead » Sun May 29, 2005 12:14 pm

I can pause a flight,  press Print Scrn and get a printed picture of the paused flight but, how can I save it instead and do the printing from the file?

Go to FRAPS and download it. You will then be able to assign a key to press to take screenshots, and it will save them all in a folder for you. In its unregistered form it'll will save them as bitmaps, but these can be changed to .jpg easily using IRFANVIEW

Otherwise, I think alt+printscreen takes a screenshot, but then as soon as you press alt+printscreen again you'll lose it...

file -> Save as ;D
My Results:

F-15 Eagle

You are an F-15. Your record in combat is spotless; you've never been defeated. You possess good looks, but are not flashy about it. You prefer to let your reputation do the talking

Just get Irfanview!
It can save multiple screenshots via a "hot key" (as many as you want), edit them, even combine images for a pic collage.
You don't even need FRAPS, GCS or any other program for screen shots
It also  has much  too many, more features than I can mention here.

It's a, small, very easy to use pice of freeware that has no bad habits. It's simply a must have IMO.  :)

I wouldn't know - I don't use it anyway - I was going back to the old days of FS5+

Just had a thought -

FS2004 is FS9
FS2002 was FS8
FS2000 was FS7
FS98 was FS6
FS5 was FS5...

..so what was FS95, which came between FS5 and FS98?

Joe_D:

I got Infanview. If it's no trouble at all, could you walk me through how I can save an FS9 screen (Paused) ?

Thanks.

Bubblehead...Irfanview is great for resizing, so keep that...but I'd never recommend it for screen captures.  GrabClipSave is the easiest I've found to capture.  I use Irfan to resize, nothing more.

As for Fraps, it's a great video capture tool, but again, I don't recommend it for still capture.

I like Mgrab. Easy and can take as many screenshots as you can hit your print screen key
