even with 1GB of RAM it crashes... use taskmanager to get rid of the zombie-fs.

The problem is not with the textures but with the model, so if someone can get rid of the tailhook in the FDE it should be Ok ( i can't find the entries for it)

Yet, there are planes with chutes without this problem...

I wonder what the difference is (gotta be a way to fix it!)

:) ;) :D ;D

I think the same as U JornanJ - all my a/c's that use parachutes assigned to tailhook are 100% working, not a problem at all, there must be a tinnie detail somewere in the model that is incompatible - somethng very silly...
But most of all, I repeat, the model is a MUST HAVE amazingly  well done.

@MAV, as far as I know the model is quite accurate, I'll talk to my friend Piotr (a russian fella I've met in y job) and ask him about the model, he's a real mig-29 pilot (migrating now to SU-35)

@IVAN, UR 100% corrected, no super-fancy-mega-computers in this one, just a very "icy" pilot and a hell of good nerves hehehehe!

;D Well I think that i have good news ;D , the only thing that govern over the drag chute is one gauges, so i remove it to see what happen.

Make this to the panel.cfg

in [Window00]
I make i little mistake and put 2 times the chute control gauges so you most erase one,
Let the 25 and erase since the 26 to the 37 and put this

gauge26=MIG29_Sound!dsd_xml_sound3, 0,0,,, ./sound/ef-sound/sound.ini
gauge27=mig-29 alarmas!Aceite_pres_1,  992,562,41,24
gauge28=mig-29 alarmas!After_B_1,  992,691,45,27
gauge29=mig-29 alarmas!Combustible_izq,  991,611,42,25
gauge30=mig-29 alarmas!exceso_vel,  992,664,74,28
gauge31=mig-29 alarmas!fuego_m1,  992,538,41,26
gauge32=mig-29 alarmas!Sist_hi_int,  991,516,39,23
gauge33=mig-29 alarmas!Sist_hi_pre_m1,  991,583,39,27
gauge34=mig-29 alarmas!canopy_open,  992,635,43,27
gauge35=mig-29 alarmas!Motor1_rpm,  992,746,37,21
gauge36=mig-29!peligro,  245,433,36,33

Please told me it that works

Regards

Hi foo_fighter

??? Mmmmmmmmm let me think mmmmm  ???  ???  ???,
well Rob Barendregt make the favor of make the control gauges and it make that you cant extent the tailhook (drag chute) if you aren't in the ground and with some speed, and when the TAS is like 20 knos the drag chute retract by itself.

If you want you can erase the

[Window00]
gauge25=mig-29!Mig29ChuteControl,  518,728,28,40

[Window01]
gauge42=mig-29!Mig29ChuteControl,  519,472,28,40

with that you must be able to extent the drag chute whatever & wherever you want.

Regards

=/  hmmmm I'll keep the lines muchacho! U know why? U describe few conditions that must be respected in order to see the fx, what  was doing till no is while fying open it with the speed brake, gears and flaps dow, but still quite fast (200+mph)so  think it's now my mistake...I'll keep trying cos  want this beautie to be perfect as U projected!!
And lz do me a favor. will ya?
BUILD MORE BUILD MOOOOORE!

BTW JordanJ ejection is really funny, all control surfaces start to "floppy" hte plane enters in a flat spin hehehehhee! totally mad!! I LOOOVE IT!

Re: Mig-29

hi guys, thnx a lot for the comments. i am not sure because i havent talked to Eduardo in a long time (cuz he's on his final exams from Univrsity) but as of b4 he had his crash he had around 20 liveries for the MiG counting the German livery commemorating the fulcrums, u know, the big orange and black one, h had both,the new and the old swifts, and a LOT of others...i dunno if they were saved and made public, the crash he had was bad.

What i found as textures:
- Luftwaffe commemorating
- Swifts old and new
- Peru 2x
- VVS standard scheme
- Hungary
- Yugoslavia

Small request list (cyryllic texts in looks-like mode):
- Can you do a russian panel for it, with the warning lights in russian?

- HUD Indicator changes according to Autopilot mode. At the moment it's fixed in MAPW, but it would be nice when the mode indicator would indicate the status: HAB for autopilot heading/nav off, MAPW for autopilot headin/nav on. furthermore there is a 'landing' mode. Indications for the various modes: HAB is the same as the current HUD but with a gyrocompass at the top. MAPW should have autopilot altitude and speed setting superimposed on the actual values, and steering cue indicator. if on NAV mode, put the DME1 on the 'distance to waypoint' indicator and in GPS mode the distance to the next waypoint. Langing mode gives ILS bars over the same screen as MAPW
- Nagging Nadia (voice warnings in russian) instead of the current warning sounds
