Things to come: Su-22 and MiG-21; both in good progress, but still WIP.

Does it lock regardless whether you're in the cockpit or viewing from outside?  DXT3 may or may not make a difference, just something I tried...

This has to be the best 27mb i've downloaded in a long time.  Really impressed with this bird especially for a first attempt.  This is one that will get a fair bit of airtime on my system.

hi guys, thnx a lot for the comments. i am not sure because i havent talked to Eduardo in a long time (cuz he's on his final exams from Univrsity) but as of b4 he had his crash he had around 20 liveries for the MiG counting the German livery commemorating the fulcrums, u know, the big orange and black one, h had both, the new and the old swifts, and a LOT of others...i dunno if they were saved and made public, the crash he had was bad.

@JordanJ,

I've tried the DXT-3 change and happened again a total system lock up - had to reboot.....and I was watching the plane from spot view, I'll try now from inside, "Normal" view ok?

cya! (gotta test the new Trident from David Maltby, hehehe)

:-[ :'(

no success at all, still a major lock up and I have to reboot, doesn't matter if it's deployed while in the air, almost touching the ground, running through the runway....I'll leave it as it is for now, nevermind - I rather prefer to fly her alot than use the parachute...maybe Eduardo will come with the solution!!!

@ JordanJ

dunno if the smoke was on, problably not, unless it's automatic, otherwise, I didn't hit "I" to make it appears ...this time I'm really lost - I will remove the panel, the fx and see what happens.....

I experienced that lock up as well.

The mig 29 is an awesome aircraft but it has its short comings!

1. The airfile is very loose (somewhat to the original F18Hornet airfile). The aircraft needs a little tightening up. it is too sensitive to the flight control commands.

2. performing low flight level areobatics (like flying inverted) is almost rendered hopeless.

3. Even at high altitudes perfoming a loop causes the plane to dive to rapidly thus preventing you from completing the circle.

4. Trying to use the chute on landings causes FS9 to lock up (unrecoverable) forcing you to reboot your PC manually.

Put all this stuff aside and the aircraft is pretty much awesome! Nothing a few tweaks or modifications here and there can't correct. I am going to test different airfiles with this aircraft and see what I get. I think it is up to the creator to correct the Drag Chute Lock up issue!

Flight controls: this one is a genuine direct linked machine, no computers involved in any of the main control surfaces... so it will feel more loose compared to a fly-by-wire
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

I wonder if the Chute problem has to do with machine specs (as in it needs more power...)
