Cape Canaveral (new & improved)

Postby TSC. » Wed Apr 13, 2005 8:43 am

Hi all,

I got this shot after being inspired by Rottydaddy to go to Cape Canaveral:

Image

I haven't entered it in the April Stunt Competition as I didn't think it would be fair, seeing as the orginal idea wasn't mine.

Cheers,

TSC.

The runway nearby is actually called "NASA Shuttle Landing Facility"; the identifier is X86 (or X68, can't remember).

Why don't I just do it in a brick - similar to the X-15  ;D

LOL igorski,

What I was implying was that the X15 is very good at doing mach 6 - although when it's doing 120kias 15 feet off the ground, inverted, it probably has all the aerodynamic qualities of a house brick.

;D

lol ok, sorry... perhaps i was impying you do it at mach 6  ;) I doubt the fd's would allow that, at such low altitude though.

Jeez, I couldn't even hit Europe at mach 6 - let alone aim for that little hole under the shuttle.

I can just imagine it:

Did you see the hole?? ?? - no, but wait - here comes Bermuda!!

:D

Cheers,

TSC.
