Now this is a Jayhawk

Pictured here is the HH60J Jayhawk. Note that the flood lights are pointed doward. Good for when hovering over the rescue target or landing in a dark area!

Image

Note now that when you hit the tailhook key that the flood lights move to the front presenting forward landing lights

Image

HIt the wings fold key and the tail fin folds to the side making it efficient to park your helo in a hanger with other Jayhawks!

Animation of all doors rescue doors and flight crew entrances.

The reason why I am on the deck is because I was doing maintanance work on the panel which was not working properly for some reason. So I just replaced it with the HH60 Pavehawk panel. Now everything is good to go! This is a more detailed helo (not to take away from the other Jayhawk post) But I am sure if even he took a look at this one he would switch!

This one looks just as good as the HH60 Pavehawk and is now a welcome addition to my Helo Hanger! :)

p.s. for people that like to analyze post the carrier and the helo are freeware! Unfortunately You can't launch aircraft off em though (So they make the perfect seabound helicopter base!

Does replacing the panel nix the VC though...?

negative! It still has its own default panel and strangely enough even in the 2D panel when you look to the left or right you still have the original views. I think this is do in part that this may be the same model as the HH60 Pavehawk with slight modifications.

I was expecting to see the Pavehawk VR cockpiit, but I still got the CoastGuard Jayhawk VR cockpit.

I also did a little modification to the aircraft CFG so that it would be recognized properly by the ATC as "Coast Guard 6010"

Since this is not present in the cfg add these lines

atc_id=6010
atc_airline=Coast Guard
atc_flight_number=6010
atc_type=sikorsky (change to this from Jetranger)

Now instead of hearing "JETRANGER NZ700M" you will now hear the atc say "Coast Guard 6010" which is the way it should have been!
