While flying on a patrol mission ove Puerto Rico, a transmission cam in over my radio:
"This is Omag, need assistance...chopper downed and im pined under rebel fire!"

"Roger that Omag, im goin in" *sigh*

"Ok, i got a visual on you, im gonna go grab a helo to pick you up." ::)

As i took off, now in a Puma, i come under small arms fire as well, Evassive manuvers!!

"Can you see me Omag?"..."Roger that Joe, i see you, and hurry up, i can't hold em off much longer!!!"

Oooh nothing at all.   I just loved the concept of someone going back to get a new aircraft.  The visual in my head of that is hysterical.

Of course, this hits home, as I'm from Puerto Rico ... the US military have effectively closed all their bases... and the only major "terrorist" attacks ~1980 blow up of Air National Guard aircarft at Mu
