Pacific Fighters!

Postby Stormtropper » Tue Mar 22, 2005 10:15 pm

Well, the game has been collecting dust on my shelf for month now...

...got tired of FS9 :o (hard to believe isn't it)...so I broke it out...

the game acutally ran quite smoothly tonight, no crashes...

...and if you ignore the fact that alot of animations are missing (canopy opeining and lots more), the frame rate studders, and the fact that the most famous and beloved aircrafts and ships are missing...(Helldiver, Devastator, USS Hornet, USS Franklin, and USS Yorktown), its not such a bad game...might even come close to CFS3 ::)

But one thing that I have to acknowedge is its amazing graphics! (If it weren't for the graphics, PF would've made a good friesby 8))

P-51 glory...

And some amazingly random shot that I just had to throw in to eat up Pete's bandwith ;) ;D

Acutally, if you look closely at the carrier on the background (in the first picture), there are a few F4U-1Cs...btw...I am the #13 Corsair one...the only one in the shot with wings extended...

There are a few corsairs...but my favorite versions has gotta be the 1A and 1C's 8)

I think I'll really use my PF disk as a frisbee some time...
