I was due to depart Tallinn in the morning but before going I had to see some more of this .... ahem ... interesting city before I left. So I grabbed the Yellow Pages and in my fluent Estonian, called up the first helo charter company I could find who could get me in the air - like an hour ago.

Well, to my surprise I have to admit, Estonian Heli Charters turned up with a very tidy Agusta A109 and after a short delay for departing traffic, we were up and away.

I tried to persuade the pilot (I never did get his name...) to let me fly from the right hand seat but he said that, "Eet woos moor zan ees life woos worth". So I had to be content with the left side, but he did allow me to do most of the flying and even took most of these pics ;)

Well, Tallinn may not be that big but it's an interesting little city to fly over. The approach from the south was particularly impressive, and as we got closer I could see some interesting new buildings appearing.

The new buildings showed how quickly the former Soviet satellites like Estonia are now making progress and you wonder what the city will be like in 10 or 15 years time.
