The hurri was half fabric, not very shiny. Why would anyone want a fighter to be shiny in the first place?!
AMD Athlon 64 3700+

That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they

Great shots eno! The Hurricane has to be the best looking WW2 fighter! Can't see how anyone can prefer the Spitfire - Its more fun in a Hurricane  ;)

I prefer the Lancaster, as many a veteran will tell you, its four Spit's in one, plus, a bloody big bomb bay !  :-*  ;D

Top work eno .  8)

Who on earth would want four spits? It should read: I prefer the Lancaster, as many a veteran will tell you, its four Hurricane's in one, plus, a bloody big bomb bay !

That makes the lanc sound alot better - I'd rather have 1 Hurri than 4 spits, but even if a Lanc was four Hurricanes id rather have a hurricane, not enough in the world :( How many hurries are there currently flying (Doug ;))

Anyway - I'll take you on in your spit (or even a  lancaster) anyday if you wish to sort this out once and for all. I'd lose ('cause i'm not a practiced dogfighter) but id somehow find a way of proving the Hurricane is prettier, and thats the main thing  ::)

I would agree entirely with you, except, I fear you've lost all sence of reality and reason, How else could you utter such blasphemous words?  !

I hear Doctors can work wonders these days,

You'll understand once you feel better. ;)

For and on behalf of the much missed A.V.Roe & Co,

Paul.

BTW, Theres 8 Hurricanes left in the world apparently, not sure how many still fly.   :(

Beauty matters little when ones life depends on the performance/handling.

Many a German night fighter pilot would break off from a fully operational Lancaster performing a "Corkscrew" evasion, difficult to follow in perfect conditions, never mind those crazy tail & dorsal gunners who were brave/mad enough to serve in those flying coffins.

This thread is wandering in & out of the Cafe & History forums it seems!

:-* ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;) ;D

I appreciate your serious approach to my little "problem" Scania. I've taken your advice - I'm booked into Professor Brensec's NeuroSynapsebiotech lab for an emergency appointment tommorrow at 9am. I'm hoping all that
