The very good I3D B1B Lancer

Postby Souichiro » Mon Mar 07, 2005 7:20 am

Since recently posts have been coming up that there is finally a flyable B1Blancer. Also It seems people think the I3B one isn't flyable (problems with take-off use Shift+F4 as stated in readme). I have no problems with th Lancer and I like it very much esspecially the concept of something so big flying very low ;D ;D ;D Well here are the shots.

As you see no problems with it whatsover I wouldn' just pull any aircraft inverted over a mountain ridge ;D ;)

I posted that the aircraft didn't fly that well. Pressing Shift+f4 only engages extra thrust to the engines to enable lift off. I don't understand how you are able to fly the I3D B1b so well close to the ground. But every single time I took off the aircraft had a tendacy to get alitude then the airspeed would drop to 0. Then the aircraft would go into a left or right bank straight down and unrecoverable.

I got sick of the plane, people said change the fuel ratio in the tanks to make it stable, that didn't work either. So I sent the aircraft to chop shop never to fly it again! Now this AOCTC B1b is a good flying aircraft with minor quirks you can deal! It flies at high speed at low or high altitudes and maintains control never going into a dead flat spin like the I3D B1b Lancer.

I just downloaded it (I3d version from the same website WD pointed out ) and at first seeing the aircraft coming in one package (no need for all the downloads), I thought I3D improved the aircraft for FS2004.

NOT

Dunno Mav. I use the Logitech wingman extreme I really don't have any problems with it. and Might I suggest that instead of replacing all the skins u could try and just replace  the .cfg and .air? Might be quicker. Good luck trying anyway. ;D ;D

Thats not a bad idea but I would still have to edit the Aircraft CFG to access the I3D Skins. But I will give that a try.

Don't think it will work though because the I3D version has moving flaps, a sound file specifically for the aircraft, and afterburner effects.

But I will give a twirl anyhow

You know what there is nothing wrong with the FS2004 version of the B1B Lancer.

After installing the update patch from I3Dteam.com, it specifically qouted that if you use a forcefeedback controller
