Hailey's.....No, Hagar's Comet

Postby Clipper » Tue Mar 08, 2005 6:51 am

Here are a few pics of an excellent series of Comets that Hagar brought to my attention. The detailing is unbelievable, inside and out. Unfortunately, there are no vc's, and we're all trying to work out some authentic Comet sound issues ( the sound files that come with the plane). So if you're a vintage fan, this is a must have. The link follows the pics. And Drum, the flaps actually work!!

Thanks again to Hagar, and all the gang who helped with the sound issues! ;D

Nice one Clipper. ;)

Glad you like it. The Comet is one of the best looking airliners ever built to my way of thinking.

If you're still having problems with that sound try a search for Avon sounds by Aaron Swindle or Mike Hambly. Sound packages for earlier versions of FS should work in FS9. If they're not posted here you might have to try the other FS sites. (Sorry Pete.)

Really great shots Clipper I really like the Comet. Too bad it  had is problems but the legacy and some of it's shape lives on in the Nimrod which is also a beauty to see flying (and very noisy)!!!! ;D

Beautiful aircraft.
Sadly the new nimrod will not have the same sound that the old one does. New engines. :'( ::)

Very nice!

The aircraft is great but sounds are horrid, I just ailiased it to my Nimrod MR2 since I figured they can't sound too different.

It looks like they dismantled the roof of a hunting lodge to make those flaps  :o

Here's a pic of the Comet with big a## flaps.

Maybe they are a little extreme in the fs9 version, but the download offers so many other great features.
Chomp_Rock, I'll try the Nimrod 2 sounds.   :)
