I guess my extreme conservative background is swaying my decision a bit also, but now you know!

I don't wanna piss anybody off, so I'll shut my trap. I have a tendancy to write 3 page posts and show references when I get involved with a debate... maybe I shoulda been a lawyer? Nahhhhh! I'll stop involving myself before I try to make the world think like I do, cause I can't. Even though I'm right.   :P

Skligmund, I have many friends that flies airbusses and they haven't looked back since.
The loudest nay-sayers always states that the aircraft's manouver performance is limited by the FAC's (flight augmentation computers).

but the truth is that the crew can easily shut off the FAC's which disengages the flight envelopes. By doing so, you can (in theory) perform barrel rolls with the aircraft. I've seen it with my own eyes in a real A320 simulator. FBW technology shouldn't be looked upon as a liability since US fighters are flown the same way  :)

And regarding the financial aid by the EU, what about Boeings 23 billion dollar support via tax relieves and Military orders from the US?
Neither Airbus nor Boeing are playing clean here, and EU and the US  are solving the dispute without dragging in the WTO,.
And until this thing is settled, government support and law suits are prohibited on both sides  :)

Both companies makes wonderful aircrafts, but approaching the tasks differently  :)
