Meigs: 10 Spot Quickie!

Postby Clipper » Tue Feb 08, 2005 7:15 am

Here's something for you guys to fool around with for a bit.....Here's two identical shots  of a Binter ATR-72-500 waiting to take-off from Meigs. Problem is, there's 10 differences between shot 1 and shot 2 , the pilot is waiting for you to identify all 10 differences before he can head off to Logan....

Image

Now what's different in this shot?

Here's a bonus Question! :)

What caused the last crash of the Dehavilland Comet?

Skligmund, that's not exactly what caused the crash. Your guess was the end result of what  transpired. Keep trying! ;) P.S. I'm off to work, so I'll check everyone's answers to-nite. There's one "Killer"
answer that I would be very surprised (pleasantly) if anyone got! ??? Good Luck

There's 10 differences, I only see 7 answers. Don't give up so easily!

The first shot looks sharper, but that may be compression?

"This crash was caused by the fact that the captain decided to land while prevailing visibility was below company-minimum for that airport at night."

I shot #1 from FS2004 and #2 from FS2002?  I don't know, they look a little different texture-wise or resolution-wise.

I don't know... ???

O.K.

The angle of the camera is both lower in the second image, and rotated clockwise.

And does this have anything to do with it?

Ooh, and after looking again, it seems your veiw distance is less on the second shot as well, but that might just be the weather.

More info on Comet:  There was a sandstorm in progress.

The Comet crash was caused by the sand dune increasing in height due to the sandstorm in progress. The sand dune was supposed to be 30ft lower and 300ft further away ???

O.K. here we go...Logjam..You got it! Bonus question answer...Skligmund , you were all over this one, but you missed the key word "SANDSTORM"! OzzysPupil, nice try, but same season...Skligmund...beauty, you got #9! :) The camera is shifted slightly for the second shot. Drumlineramos, I gave you the sailboat in a different position this morning, even though it was only a partial solution to the camera shift..after all it is Meigs. Bye the way Drum, by Blue Moonie do you mean alien's butt? Well guys, there's still 1 very tricky, but very visible difference still uncovered. Here's a hint...Think outside the box..... ;) P.S. Jordon, if I knew what a South Wacker Drive was, i'd be happy to answer that question..thanks for looking in though...
