Due to the window, a Locheed L-188 Electra with 4 Allison 501-D's.

At first I thought it was a Convair 580.

c'mon your making the expressway departure, either 9 L or R at you guessed it, O'Hare.

**EDIT** you took off 9R, because the John Hancock would be closer or on your other side...

9L(27R) is the famous expressway approach, and I-90 is there...

rwy 9L and I-90, any relations, i say so myself

Wait a minute isnt the L-188 the same thing as a P-3 just that the P-3 is the navy version?

VERY similar.

I believe there is an engine model number difference, and instead of windows, there is more support in the airframe for harsher treating of the aircraft (as the military does this).

For all intensive purposes, yes, they are the same, just a little different.  :P
