A hidden airport

Postby jknight8907 » Mon Jan 17, 2005 9:42 pm

I was flying from 6B8 --> CSH2, and right as I crossed over the lake about 15mi from CSH2, I spotted an airport off to the right. A look on the GPS shows no airport there. So I continue to CSH2, finish my BFU mission, and then take off in search of the airport again. It's fairly easy to find my retracing my flight path, and a quick landing there shows that, yep, it's an airport.

Check it out:

EDIT: Okay, I don't get it. My file was under 800x600, was in JPG format, all that. But does it show up? NOOOOOO. Help please!!!  ??? ??? ???

1: you had jpeg instead of jpg (the server won't recognize jpeg)

2:  JPG had to be capitalized...

Just a quirk...

well, i hate to be the dawdle-downer, but according to my FS map, it has a name. in fact, there are AI aircraft taking off.

the airport is CSE5 - 15nm SE of CSH2

J, on your GPS, there is a -3 next to the range. This means you have hit clear three times, which means everything except your destination airport will be erased. This just may explain why the airport isn't there!

Interesting. So, I guess your destination airport still shows up even with all other ones cleared out? I ask because I could still see CSH2 at that point. Oh well, maybe I'll go find a REAL hidden airport!!
