Getting there in style!

Postby Omag 2.0 » Sun Jan 16, 2005 3:27 pm

So, as Ati suggested I sold my Agusta private chopper and got me something entirely new... A Dassault Falcon 50.

On my last trip I was getting a bit bored on Guadeloupe, so I asked my private pilot to take me somewhere exciting!

Now ain't she a beauty? Good staff too! There are allready firing the bird up.

Boarding, no ticket-control! It's MY plane ;D

So, we took off and are climbing towards the cruise-altitude. Time to kick off my shoes and get my feet up. Hmm, catching the last sunrays of the day.

Image

Passing St-Eustatius Island. Guess that isn't our destination...

Image

On approach! the captain let's me take a shot! Hey, That looks familiar!

Image

Back in my seat and Buckled up! Do you know where we are yet?

Image

Back on solid ground! This bird is magnificent! Thanks for the tip(s) ATI!

Image

And a last one, bought from a planespotter... wasn't cheap. It's not cause I fly in a Bizz-jet I am loaded...  ;) And if you still don't know where I am, visit www.airliners.net

Image

Ahhh. Time for more sun, sea and parties! Come on over guys! Drinks are on me tonight!

Cheers!

Kris

Just got it and flew it from KTVC to CYTZ!

Actually, my first medium-size jet flight!

I found myself using the AP a bit more than in GA planes.

Yeah, it's kind of a must in jets. And not to "be that way",  but remember that "General Aviation" refers to anything other than scheduled carriers. There are privately-owned jumbos that are technically GA aircraft . A corporate Falcon would certainly fall into that category. I only mention it because I've been seeing that term used as a (typically dismissive and derisive) label for any light aircraft, and it  irks me.
Oh- and did I mention I liked the Falcon pics? Who cares what I think- they're obviously real sweet!

The Falcon 50 usually flies transatlantic,so three engines are a must.

You're welcome,Omag. ;D

A quick question... has anyone else noticed it takes like 98% N1 just to sustain MO.75, even though the cruise speed for the aircraft is said to be .80?
