A Lion of Planes!

Postby jordonj » Sun Jan 16, 2005 9:13 pm

I know this isn't a new plane...but it's a good one nonetheless...

This plane is by Eric Dantes, who made the fabulous Twin Bonanza (as well as a really nice Twotter with a VC)...

It's the Lionceau...Omag (I think) was going to do a trip across Africa (story kinda fell by the wayside)...maybe he should have used this plane!

Yes...it has a VC!

When I started this flight, the weather was clear!

Image

Still...I was cleared for touch-and-go!

Image

A little after I took off, ATC informed we KTVC was now IFR, and cleared me to land...it took me a bit to get my bearings...

Image

But I made it down.

I had to taxi behind this 172 which was holding position, more or less in my way (guess ATC doesn't think about where a plane is when they tell them to hold...)

This plane flies great and can be had here at SimV...

Also, here is a link to Eric Dante's site (be warned, it's in French)

I like that one too, and luckily it works just fine, so we dont have to post for three days on how to fix anything...LOL  :o

A fine bird indeed......it handles quite well as supplied, .....but when I got it, a while back, I had to take a run through the wash stall to get all those dirty footprints off the exterior.....looked a bit messy to me.

it was them annoying pigmees that took me down and stole my plane... ;D

Flying one plane was getting a bit dull, and so was the landscape. Maybe next time I should choose more wisely. Besides, I don't see many long-term trips no more...

Nice plane though! And may I add, a wonderful landing too!

Cheers,
