the liberty cargo ship from ww2 with it's low tech steam power
chugged around delivering well needed cargo to keep the armies well supplied with food medical equipment and ammo :) :)

It's unbelievable that one of those could be built, and ready for sea in three days. Thats 72 hours to build an ocean going cargo ship. :o

Yeah, it kinda is unbelievable. It would take me 3 days to mount the compass and the steering pedestal. I wonder how many guys were riveted in behind bulkheads never to be seen again!   :P
