Recreating Memories

Postby Dr._Who » Sat Jan 01, 2005 11:02 am

My first flight by myself I made in Lelystad, Holland. I thought I would try and recreat the flight using nl2000.
Here`s the result:

Here`s a pic from the actual flight. Its the airplane, wich is parked at the same place as in the second pic.

Didn't know that Lelystad has an airfield. I only know its yacht harbour. ;D

NL2000 changes the whole of Holland. Photographic ground textures, all airports detailed, Landmarks, roads. Everything is VFR photorealistic. And its freeware. We have had this in a topic before. But, here`s the link to its homepage: http://www.nl-2000.com/nuke/

Awesome shots...that's the kinda thing that I love.  That's a perfect example of a group of people creating their scenery out of the passion for the game (and for flight), and because they truly wanted to improve something, not to make a buck off it.

I know, I know, payware designers are passionate too.  I've heard it all before.  But you just can't beat quality freeware.  Makes ya proud to be a simmer.

Now if only we could get a US version of NL2000.  LOL
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.
