The Local Tour

Postby congo » Sun Dec 19, 2004 10:51 am

Several years ago, I obtained permission to use this private local strip near the river for my R/C model flying and a known outlanding strip for my gliding activities.

My playground and home, I lived right there in that rivermouth on my yacht for three years before building a house nearby.

To the East about twenty miles lies a great sand island which is about a hundred miles long and covered in forest. It generates it's own micro-climate and even FS2004 seems to know it

What kind of aircraft is that?! It looks like a cross between an Aerospatiale AS341 Gazelle, a Bell 407 and a Cessna C182! :o

Whatever it is, I want one for my virtual hangar! :D

Nice shots, BTW:D.. I wish I could get my water to reflect like that!

The aircraft was designed and manufactured here locally. It's a Seabird Aviation SB7L_SEEKER light observation aircraft, they have been trying to drum up military interest with limited success.

The scenery is kinda hotch potch, but I guess the main thing would be Ross Casey's Queensland Land Class addons, he gets the coast and rivers a bit more precise. Actually Ross appears to be working hard at this and is doing a great job, with his scenery files going up as far as and including Torres Strait now.

I never know what cloud packs or water textures I have, I usually download and install them late at night in a half sleep...... :P

Okay...I believe I've found the plane on NoNodes

It's a Tim Conrad one...so it has to be good!

Looks like the FS9wat addon from the looks of it.

Great shots!  Very pretty indeed

I've tried to find this particular aircraft and I have had no luck.

Where could I find it?

It was a FS2002 pro aircraft by:

Tim Piglet Conrad
Piglet's Peculiar Planes
pigletxx@earthlink.net

Jordan found it at Flightsim.com

Good Luck
