Flight Near Seattle

Postby GunnerMan » Fri Dec 10, 2004 8:43 pm

Well let me tell you this was one of the hardest flights in FS I ahev every expierienced! Were talking 2 kt X winds direct on all landings(2)

Taking Off enjoying scenery, we took off it was fogy and rainy.... Thought this wont be to bad...

Some More sceery (note the building clouds :-X)...
Image

Well things QUICKLY got reall bad, and we lost 90% of vis in a cloud, I barley pop out and theres a cloud we had to do some evasive mauvers there!
Image

Thats not VFR! Whoooops!
Image

Landed and of course its gray and rainy ::)....
Image

One the way for our next hop, this one was a bit lower and a bit nicer weather bu the X wind was monstorus, im surprised I made it was almost flying at a crab 90 degrees to runway!
Image

Enjoy them and well I took about 50 shots on this flight so I may post more later but there is good Bush flying to be had in Washington and the Moony is not the best aircraft for it but thats ok ;D Enjoy...

Nice shots, but I would recommend FSW clouds...gets rid of that wierd fog (I think it's supposed to be cummulus or Cirrus clouds)...

Give their clouds a try!  You won't be sorry!
My first flight in a 172 on August 20, 2004

Fun stuff!  I like your hole series of shots.  Reminds me of my long XC for my instrument rating.  We flew from Ellensburg (KELN) up to Friday Harbor (KFHR?) then down to Renton (KRNT?) and back home.  Dispite I had the hood on for most of the flight, I was still able to take a few peeks.  Beautiful area to fly over.  Will do it again when I go back to school after Christmas break.
The day is always better when you're flying upside down.
