Cool!

Have you guys got the  "US North Cascades Mountains and Northwest Washington Coast"  scenery by Holger Sandman  installed?

Nope all we got is the freware qorld mesh found here on simviaton.... :D This stuff really work great it has really addd to my sim experience, and no more "hills" as mountains. The freeware stuff has its pros and cons though:

Pros:
1. Smaller areas than other mesh so you only download what you need, like me I am limited on hard drive space so I think of my flight, go to the map see if I have that section of mesh/meshes installed and if not install it...

2. Near as good if not as good as yhour other mesh like FSGenises etc...

3. In 70M resolution.

Cons:
1. If you want just a few large installers for the whole world then go get the payware as this stuff is auto install and in pretty small sections, DLs in about the size of a medioum sized state.

2. Some of it(less than 10% of the world) is not accurate due to the scanning of the earth.(the man wh made all ths said he did as best he could making these inaccurate places fit with the area but they would probably just look nice and not be aywhere near accurate.

Oh Oh I guess Im ramblin agin, oh well well to answere ure Q No im useinf the freeware world mesh

I got the Cascades scenery here at SimV. It's called us_wa_nc.zip

Definitely one of those special downloads, installation was a bit tricky, (you actually have to read the instructions as it's a little bit non-standard), but it's amazing.

I was just wondering because it would be so cool in multi-player for doing some "off field" exploring. The problem there is that I think everyone in a multi-player room in that situation would have to have pretty much identical settings in FS9 for each player to see the same exact terrain, which is so detailed in the Cascades scenery package.

Cheers

If Gunnerman is up to it I might drag him out there and take another 7 parts worth of pictures  ;D Cheers, Gunny
