Some of us are facinated with ugly planes the way some NASCAR fans are facinated with the crashes...

close but no cigar, that one is an AW Argosy. Same as the one we have at the aeropark. Another is at Coventry museum.

Hehe. This brings back some memories. Saw them regularly at Shoreham when I worked there in the 60s. They were operated on the Channel Islands & France routes by Channel Airways.

Bristol Centaurus motors, I wonder...?

Close Foz. Bristol Hercules. http://www.oldprops.f9.co.uk/B170.htm

Nice shots as always Lemoncat. You have a knack for finding interesting types. ;)

I wonder what the designers have taken when they were sitting at their drawing boards back in the 60s.  :o

I want some of that stuff...;D

Nice Pete...very nice :)

What ever country they operated in they were certainly a work horse.

Still a few flying with some bush operators up north and I would think Alaska as well.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
