Are you using the interior textures that came with Microsoft?  Looks a little blurry in the cockpit, methinks.

If so, there's texture fixes that I downloaded from here that'll make the textures more crisp and more realistic.

Those mountains are near Santa Fe , New Mexico, KSAF. There are 3 mountain rnages around there all great for flying, the Sandias to the South, the Jemez(Hey-mez) to the North(thats where those shots were taken, and some to the west those are great and they are where Los Alamos national labs are located. Prety easy to find. Have fun ad thanks for the link goin to get them now ;D

Which update? There's a gauge fix (I think it's over at Hovercontrol) that adds a sound fix and more realistic start-up procedures, but the sound effects for the gauge/sound fix are not even close to sounding like a Bell 206. (They are actually from a Bell 205A-1)

There's also an update that'll allow ya to open the rear door.  The update's alright'n all, but since you can't see the rear portion of the cabin in the default Bell 206 in VC mode, it kinda makes that update useless unless you wish to see the door open from a spot-plane or tower perspective.
