KHBM - Hoffstadt Bluffs Helicopter Tours

Postby Bell206freak » Tue Nov 23, 2004 2:55 pm

These are a few screenshots of a new "heliport" that I've called "Hoffstadt Bluffs helicopter Tours."

It's inspired from the actual Hoffstadt Bluffs Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center, and the only thing that'll finish the simulated one is the addition of the visitor center building itself and the flight briefing building that's adjacent to one of the helipads.

On final to one of the helipads after taking some tourists into the crater and over the lava dome.

Departing on another scenic flight to Mt. St. Helens. 14 miles one way to the most active volcano in the 48 adjacent states. Average flight lasts a half hour and covers scenic wonders such as the landslide debris from the massive collapse of the volcano's north face on May 18th 1980, the log jam on Spirit Lake, tree blowdown and of course the massive one-and-a-half-mile wide crater and 90-story high lava dome of Mt. St. Helens.

Showing final placement of scenery objects. (As soon as I can figure out how to do all of that stuff. - I'll need some assistance)

How's this look? I managed to create a semi-realistic Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center. I used RWY12 and AFCAD to create the scenery, and since I had trouble with the exclude switch I re-landclassed the area using EZ-Landclass to remove the autogen trees.

Not sure. I use FS2004. Someone with more knowledge about that may be able to make it compatible with FS2002 after I release it.
