Turned out to be a rather tough approach!
ATC cleared me for the approach for rwy 15, with the airport at 2'o clock. Except I'm 5 miles to NW, about 12,000 feet above the runway! Instead of doing the logical thing, a 360 to loose altitude, I fly around the valleys to come in from the other side.
Yikes! I'm supposed to land there?

Ok, don't panic. Flight attendants, get the barf bags ready! And pray I clear that hill and those trees.
On the ground! Yay! As the skid-marks show, we barely touched down on the runway!
ATC then snarls at me "Jet Airways 344, you weren't cleared to land. Clear the runway!"
Well, sir, I ain't takin' off again, so get over it! Guess that's it for my pilot's license. I'm taking the bus back ... (or, maybe, a mule cart?)
[This also makes me want to find out what aircraft actually do fly into Paro!]
