i wasn't there for the landing. the take off was not in my mind cuz i was half flying and half doing ma homework ::)

Ha, gimme a person who hasn't done that before...

I was half flyin' and half planning a cross-country at the same time two nights ago! It almost worked out until I neglected one a bit too much... guess which  :)

Me flight planning:  ??? wtf is the diff between mag crs and magnetic heading...

people on plane:  ;D
people on ground:  ::)
all three a minute later:  :o
just me, the only one left:  :(

All US airways, runways, and VOR courses are laid out in reference to magnetic north. The reason is the mag. compass is a basic nav. instrument. Since magnetic north is slightly offset from true north. The amount of variaton differs in different locations around the world.

Magnetic heading is directly read from the compass. To get true north one has to factor in variaton. Magnetic course is the course has one would lay it out on a chart.

For what it's worth unless ATC is reading a TWEB all headings they provide, including wind, are given in magnetic.

lol, I know the difference, I was just giving an example of wut I was thinking at the time HAHA but thanks anyway where were you THURSDAY?!
