Great job Roger!! As always!

But Mr Lucariny (Piper Seneca) and Marcel Kuhnt (Trislander) haven't replied to emails. Now I have to say that I think that this is really unacceptable.

All designers should include email addresses in their packages and reply promptly to any messages they receive, especially from other developers who want to use their work.

I come across this problem regularly. If I get an upload where it says 'only available from our website ........' I like to check with the author to make sure he actually authorised the upload here - but often they don't even reply -

While there can be many reasons for this - I am sure there are a few plainly strange folk out there in our hobby ;)

I spent another over 2 days sorting and organising the package for upload and getting permissions just for the 3 GA AI aircraft I've included in it.

Well worth the time. I've just got round to checking it out although I haven't installed it yet. If all downloads were configured like this there would be no need for those awful auto-install packages I know you hate so much. In fact there would be no need for any installation instructions at all. ::) ;)

I'm looking forward to trying this. ;D

Thanks a lot gents.

Pete, I was maybe being a bit impatient on this one. Messrs Lucariny, Lopez and Kuhnt all came back eventually with their approval so everything worked out fine in the end.

Doug, you must try this XML programming with SceneGenX. Placing objects is such a snip the problem is knowing when to stop!

Hopefully this little exercise will show what can be done quite quickly and easily and we'll get a lot more people into designing scenery. Once guys start to create original GMax object libraries the sky will be the limit, and that's already beginning.

The only problem is that XML scenery doesn't give the designer the flexibility that BGLC design does - the system is programmed to always behave in certain inflexible ways - but time will tell how things will go. And there are always the scenery gurus out there who somehow always manage to find work-rounds when serious problems arise.
